- Little Britain: This family-run auction at 1241 Salem
Road has been hosting weekly sales since the summer of 1975.
Friday sales in the Lindsay-area barn begin at 4:30 p.m. year
round, plus special Saturday and off-site morning sales. Auction
services include farm, estate and business closures. Daily previews
and Thursday nights from 7 to 9 p.m.

Peterborough: John Fraser was a teenager when he
first experienced auctions and antique shows. The natural progression,
says John, was to become an auctioneer, artisan restorer, and
appraiser, "mainly a lover and dealer in fine antiques."
His office is located at 2061 Brown Line, RR5 Peterborough. Most
sales at held the Legion Hall in Fraserville.

- Hastings: Allen J. McGrath holds estate
and consignment auction sales most Tuesday nights year round,
plus special Saturday sales. The Riverside Auction Hall opens
at 5 p.m. sale nights for previews, with the sale beginning at
6 p.m. The hall, located on the scenic banks of the Trent River,
has been hosting auction sales for more than 20 years.

- Ruslands - Rob Rusland, Auctioneer
- Peterborough: Rob Rusland marked his 35th
year in the auction business with an Aug. 14, 2007, anniversary
sale. Many of his sales are held at the Evinrude Centre, 911
Monaghan Road in Peterborough. Rob, a CPPA, also provides auctions
appraisals and moving storage services. Rob invites auction goers
to join his mailing list for upcoming sales.

- Creemore - John Simpson, who has been serving
this Central Ontario area for 25 years, is known for his specialized
sales of antique and 20th century furniture, plus a wide variety
of other goods. Most auction sales are at the 500-seat Creemore
Legion Hall. Other Simpson Auction services include appraisals

Service Inc. - Mark Stanley, Auctioneer
- Norwood: This auction service holds frequent sales year
round in the Asphodel Norwood Community Centre at 88 Alma Street,
off Highway 7, just north of Hastings. Most sales begin with
box lots at 5 p.m., followed by the main tables at 6 p.m. Watch
for detailed lists of upcoming Stanley Auctions sales on their

- Warner's Auction - Gary &
Bill Warner, Auctioneers
Colborne: Gary
Warner, born, raised and educated in Colborne, purchased the
auction barn on Hwy. 2 from the Denny family in 1986. He introduced
computers for auction clerking and online sales listings in the
1990s and now holds auctions most Thursday nights and selected
Saturday mornings. Gary and Bill also offer property, business
and estate appraisals.

Auction and Appraisal Services
- Campbellford: The Williams name has been associated
with auction sales in Ontario since Rods grandfather, Ray,
began his trade in 1949. Rod's father, Roy, was also an auctioneer,
working the "call" until Rod took over the business
in 1988. Most Williams Auction sales are held at the new 4,000-square-foot
auction centre at 33 Industrial Drive.
