Ernie was born in Tilbury, Ontario, and employed in the field of construction in his earlier years. Over the last 25 years, he was an avid antique dealer, well-known throughout the circuit for his excellent refinishing and re-purposing, a familiar, friendly face at many antique events.
A kind and humorous gentleman, Ernie was generous and industrious and greatly enjoyed his antique and refinishing business “Leave It To Ernie” shared with his wife and partner, Deanna.
Good-natured, friendly and cheerful, he was always willing to lend a hand and quietly listen to others before he spoke about himself. He and Deanna belonged to the Thamesville Sertoma Club and greatly enjoyed providing their time and assitance to others in their community. This included helping with the organizing of the Thamesville Antique Show & Sale, a fund raiser for the Sertoma Club.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Deanna, his family and his friends, and the many people who he met through his business and antique shows.
